@yamahonkawazuki AMS with their Alpha 12 spec GT-R is putting down about 1200hp on the transmission as it has been built to withstand the punishment of using launch control with slicks and repeated 190+ mph blasts

@yamahonkawazuki The 2011/2012 GT-R GR6 has been upgraded to withstand the abuse that so many people put on the car that there have been NO reports of early failure. The tranny can hold up to about 7-800hp no problem before the transmission needs stronger internals and thicker clutch plates.

Even then, theres quite a few transmission shops that make stronger internals that its no longer a problem.

@yamahonkawazuki yes, we can both agree that the sound is like no other, not even Lambos new V10 in the Aventador can touch the insane high pitch sound. the only engine that can beat the LF-A's V10 for sounds of sex is the 4-rotor engine

As for the GT-R's GR6 tranny, the issue has been fixed after so many complaints when the car first came out and people using launch control left and right.

@rotor13 hopefully the gt-r quit dropping transmissions lol. i do like hte gtr. but wont buy one because of that transmission issue. ill wait and see if one can last without issues. ( believe it was 2010 that had the problem. ) but yes the inside of this car = WOW. and the sound. no its not much of a ground pounder no. but damn that sound lol
