Otter Lake Illinois,while fishing a SNAKE had attacked my sons fish as he was pulling it out of the water. My son was amazed, I was FREAKED!

When I went fishing I saw 3 snakes

i live by mississippi river. i see water moccasins sumtimes. i try to avoid at all costs. We have a bike path that goes along so wen my mom goes joggin i ride my bike in front and look for snakes. I seen a little brown one just a few days ago. Are these water snakes in the vid poisonous or venomous? Aggresive and dangerous?

Your correct, it is a banded water snake. They are common thru out illinois. And since they are aquatic, feeding on fish and frogs, they will steal your bait ! Cool vid, thanks.
