This is not the classic Falcon Crest. But I think this theme is actually pretty good and it worked well with the direction the show was taking this season, with a more action-packed and dark style.

Cole left town (with his son from Melissa) and Melissa committed suicide by trying to burn Falcon Crest to the ground. The show really wasn't very good after Melissa was gone.

In week 1 of this season the credits were terrible, CBS got so many letters and calls complaining that they fixed them in just days. Remember, this was when you had to call or actually mail a letter. So it was Monday/Tuesday before they even got results.

Absolutely hated the way they killed off "Maggie." Susan Sullivan deserved and should have gotten a much better send-off than that. Maybe killing her off in a car accident or something, not in such a thoughtless pathetic grotesque manner as that drowning!!

After the drowning of Maggie in such a horrendous way..the show was a shambles..the only redeeming quality was the way Jane Wyman as Angela Channing said goodbye..
