Very sad. Not only he was unable to free himself from religion, but he even joined the religion which seems to be quite opposite from what an enlightened should thrive for.
When I see such things it makes me feel pessimistic about humanity. But, oh well, if that's the way of the world then so be it. I wonder in which directions the social evolution will go under such circumstances.
