Mega,
Search Slammin' Eagle - You won't have to get out of the truck at each stop with this baby.

hell ya awsome truck buckets kick ass like the tipper set up

@NYMegaMan well a roomer is going around that the state of California is passing a natural gas law, saying all garbage trucks are required to run on natural gas, my allied waste is replacing all their trucks with new natural gas trucks, i'm trying to guess what they look like, so when i saw your truck i thought maybe it might be it. but my allied waste doesn't invest in mack they go autocar with mcneilus body!

wow thats a sweeeeet truck hopefully youll get more video on your route

@NYMegaMan Nobody will treat your truck like you will, I fully understand your pain! And thats one gorgeous new ride you have there :)
hey does that truck run on natural gas?

@TheTrashman97 Nope. Natural gas trucks seem to be more popular on the west coast

Great video! The intro is funny haha. Nice to see something different. That is one nice truck too. I think I need to get a job with Republic! That tipper looks like it could be a pain in the ass. I never understood the corner mount, and that one looks like it is mounted a lot higher than most. Do you do mostly manual collection with it or are there a lot of carts on the routes?
mcbombtings 1 year ago
@mcbombtings Mostly manual except for people that buy there own toters from like Home Depot and Lowes. The height actually doesn't matter because the tipper swings out and grabs the cart. I couldnt use this bucket on a cart route because of that angle

Awesome job, and congrats! I don't know how i missed this one... That triangluar tipper is awesome!
r6man2 1 year ago
@r6man2 You would think the triangular tipper is awesome but it is a huge flaw from McNeilus. It is much easier to just pull the tote to the bucket and tip it with a side mounted tipper, especially if it on a curb. With this one you have to ajust the tote to an angle then tip it and if the tote is up on a curb you have to park away from the curb and wheel it on the street then tip it. McNeilus has been in the business too long to put out poorly placed tippers. Someone at McNeilus isn't thinking
