I think a Marine would be more distracted by wondering if their wife back home is cheating on them and/or stealing their money. As opposed to whether or not someone in their squad was gay.

Perhaps Obama SHOULD remove Gen Amos if he isn't up to the job of upholding the civil rights of his fellow Americans without bellyaching & inventing preposterous reasons to justify his antiquated prejudisms. Gen McChrystal got in trouble because he allowed his men to behave in a rogue fashion, disrespecting the chain of command (Obama). Gen Amos sounds more concerned with undermining Obama's repeal policy than instituting it. What would stop him from running the Marines in a rogue manner?
