@JonahhChavarria You can plug any hard drive in any port, its just if you plug them into the intel sata port youll get faster speeds.

@sgatti27 yeah im using the 6gb cable and its fine. I do have a intel sata port, 2 in fact. Can i plug my harddrives in that port? including my ssd.

@JonahhChavarria All sata cables are the exact same and transfer the same amount of data at the same speed. And check in your motherboard manual to see if your motherboard supports sata 3 (6 gb/s). If your using an intel platform, try and get your ssd plugged into a port which is running off of the intel chipset, which you can find in the motherboard manual,.

Quick question to anyone, I bought the corsair force gt 60gb ssd. Now if its sata lll will it only work with a sata 3gb cable or could it work with a sata 6gb cable, and also defining which sata ports its slowed in to sata3/sata6 sorry if my question is confusing ,all of this is still new too me
