Benidorm building works

A piling rig starts at about 8.15 am, and makes this racket pretty much all day. It's opposite the Sol Pelicanos Ocas hotel, the one used in the ITV series 'Benidorm'. Filmed in June 07.

Stayed at this hotel 27th July til 6th August and never heard the work once! Our balcony faced the Ocas and the piling works, but it seemed to be quiet while we were there. On looking at your video, I'm glad it wasn't up and running! Hope it didn't spoil your holiday too much :)

I've heard that the piling part of the new construction works opposite has now been completed, just 20 odd stories of apartments to put up now!!

(although sometimes in Spain they stop work during the summer when the tourist season is in full swing, so it might start up again later on in the year).

it started at 8 in the morning n woke me up everyday, that was the only bad thing about the place n the hotel is superb :)

i have a apartment there and yes it is noisey but the pelicanos is 1 of the best hotels in benidorm

oh god wat a noise. im goin to this hotel on the 29th of july 08 for 2 weeks so i hope theres no noise like this. god help!

This hotel was ok but benidorm is the most horrible place ever filthy and run down DONT GO!!!

So many bad memories! I live here and that banging was the worst thing in the world..... ever! 2 whole months of it we endured!!!! Awful
