Sony sees light at tunnel's end

Japan's Sony Corporation has announced losses of $3.2b dollars for for the fisca year that ended March 2011, the company's biggest net loss in 16 years.

Increased competition by big names like Apple and Samsung has played a major role in causing the electronics giant to lose its lead.

Furthermore, March's earthquake and tsunami has hurt Sony's production and cyber attacks on its PlayStation network have hurt its image.

But the electronics giant predicts it will return to profit after boosting sales by more than 4 per cent in the coming year.

@bloodyhawk989 Actually it's those who buy Macs that are the pompous consumer whores that think they are smart. And if you think that the computer you purchase is an indicator of someones intelligence, then you are an even bigger idiot. Maybe people just prefer a computer with some compatibility and a large library of software while the rest of the mac using community wants to be cool and fit in, because advertisers told them it was good.

@bloodyhawk989 Apples products are far from flawless. And if you're willing to pay $1,000 for a console system, then buy an apple computer and hook it up to your tv. They couldn't dominate the computer world, what makes you think they could dominate the console world?

What isn't mentioned is that Sony tried suing customers for doing what they want with their own purchased consoles. It's sad they lost so much in the earthquake but the hacking was well deserved. I won't be buying Sony again that's for sure.
