  • love this show and Mark and Olly Living with the Tribes

  • The contents of the documentary, though not long, did inspire and provoke many ideas and thoughts to us (most city-dwellers). Anuta is prima facie a paradise but I don't think we (most city-dwellers) can survive the Anuta way of life. There is no right or wrong here but simply a demonstration of how great our mother nature is. Finally, congratulations to all crew members and Bruce who together had shot a wonderful documentary. A real eye opener to all city-dwellers. Negaposuen

  • Just goes to show that communalism comes when the environment drives it not when it is imposed from above.

  • To me, it's just sad that missionaries have to go around christianising every place they can reach.

The people there today are probably not sad about it, but really, missionaries are killing cultures because they can't accept that people have a different belief.

Please don't turn this into a religious discussion, I am not going to reply to those comments anyway.

  • This is the best documentary series I have ever seen.

  • @IanSaysWhat much mahalos braddah. aloha from hawaii.

  • @FALUBWA islands like anuta are called 'polynesian outliers'

they're culturally polynesian but geopraphically/politically part of melanesia.

  • bruce said something about anuta being a part of the solomon islands but these people look more polynesian than melanesian. so are these people polynesians or melanesians?

  • "Aropa" from the root word "ARO" meaning love.

  • true communism.
