  • @roninface Philosophical rigour can occasionally undermine an argument when it numbs rather than delights the intelligence of the audience. One sees this often in philosophical texts; exhaustive clarification results in etiolated prose, and endless qualification which leaves the reader bored and bewildered.

    In this case however, the scrupulous and scholarly attention which is given to what we mean by 'belief' is vitally necessary within the context of the series, and well worth the effort.

  • His rant on what words mean is "utterly" pointless, he made something so simple sound so complicated, as if we don't "know".
