Steps by Step instructions:

1) Your phone HAS to be unlocked/jailbroken

2) Download the "Customize" application (you will use this directly), the "BSD Subsystem" **Download this one first** and the "OpenSSH" application as well (these will be running in the background)

3) Download WinSCP to be able to access the iPhone directory

4) Download Audacity** (an audio editing software)

**you dont need THIS program but you need a program to edit audio files in general, this one is just free and what I will be using

5) Take the file you want to use and edit it with Audacity than when finished go to "File", than "Export as WAV..." and save it to your desktop

6) Open the file in your iTunes

7) On your iTunes go to "Edit", than "Prefrences", than go to the "Advanced" tab, than "Importing" and on "Import Using:" select "AIFF Encoder" than click "OK"

8) Right click on the file you want and click "Convert Selection to AIFF"

9) Drag your newly created file to your desktop and make sure it says AIFF on the file

10) Turn on the WIFI on your iPhone and connect it to your computer (not suer if you need to connect it, I just do to have a hard wire between the iPhone and the computer)

11) Open the WinSCP program and use your IP Address for the Host name and use "Root" for username and "Alpine" for the password (it might give you an error type of message but just click ok)

12) Go here in the directory: Root/private/var/root/library/customize/audiofiles

13) Create a new folder for your sounds in the "Audiofiles" folder and drag your AIFF file into this new folder than close the WinSCP program

14) On your iPhone go into the Customize application and go down to "System Sounds" and choose the sound you want replaced

15) Scroll down to your created sound and select it!

THATS IT!!!
