Dr. Jim Rex, South Carolina State Superintendent of Schools, provides plenty of red-meat to the far-left base of the Democratic Party. Unfortunately, this includes an angry attack on school choice options for needy families. Rex describes choice for families as a "dragon" that needs to be "killed."
This extreme rhetoric is disturbing to the many thousands of South Carolina families that are in desperate need of something better than the failing public schools Rex wants to keep their children in.
Parents need choices, not for elected officials to talk about "killing" their hope for real educational opportunity.
