Cornell West and other prominent leaders gathered a large group of activists from the Occupy Wall Street movement to conduct a march against NYPD's "Stop and Frisk" policy in Harlem, Oct. 21. The protesters engaged in civil disobedience in front of the 28th precinct and NYPD officers subsequently arrested Cornell West and many others.

This mayor of New York is more like bull Connors. Doesn't matter whether they have a reason to stop mostly black and Latino, just that they are black and Latino. Someone tell me what's the difference this Jim Crow and South Africa? The Mayor is out enemy. Doesn't matter that only about 1% of the people they stop actually get in trouble and end up in court, But 89% of the stops they find nothing and about that same percent have never been in trouble.
