It can be difficult for the people in your life to acknowledge that you have been traumatized.

Often they will try to cope with their feelings of helplessness by denying or being blind to what you are trying to tell them. They may also be feeling angry at whatever or whoever hurt you, but don't know what to do with their anger.

This PTSD online movie gives you steps to help people understand you have post traumatic stress disorder and how they can help you and what to expect in your relationship.

For a safe place for survivors and those who treat children or adult trauma survivors to ask questions and share insights go to my blog at http://www.Keyboard-Culture-Healing-Is-Possible.com

  • yeah, but whre can u go to get help? I have never met a person who specializesw in trauma at any "free or lowcost" clinic. Is there anywhereone can get EMDR for low cost? or anything else?

  • I find this video very informative for someone who has just received a diagnosis of PTSD and needs to discuss it with those close to them. However, I was honestly hoping that it would contain more information for those continuing to struggle with making people aware of their PTSD. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has encountered those who simply refuse to believe what we are telling them we need and experience.

  • The human brain can be likened to a brain injury, endorphin glands red line for an longer period of time than normal . There is no cure for it just coping mechanisms.

  • yes, if u have it, you can know it. my sister and mom have it, but dont think they do..they get triggered by everything, they're nuts.

EMDr does work though, with some people. it does with me.

  • Thank you for making this available.

So many people have no conception of PTSD.

They just don't know why and don't get it at all.

  • I'm watching all the Keyboard Culture Channel videos. This one is really helpful for my friend who is struggling with ptsd and having troubles. Thanks.
