This review is crap! you dont even know what all the features are used for and its making you give poor judgement on a pretty good pack. the outter most strap is the compression strap, and to stop the bag from rotating on you USE THE STABILIZER strap.

1. Your a dumbass. 2. Then take the outside strap off. 3. WTF....you need instructions for a back pack? 4. Knife outside for quick access...gearSLINGER 5. Most people carry guns with these packs and a ruger lcp mag will fit. 6. Tighten the strap 7. Again, your a dumbass. 6. Ventilation channel...point taken 7. 6. Attach some vlecro to the inner pocket to hold it shut when vertical

Who is going to take you seriously ? Nobody wants to visit your website....viral content only works on generic sites...not survival

Great alternative honest review. Let the buyer beware.

I have the exact same pack but all the fastex hardware and zippers on mine is colormatched to the fabric... I like your black ones.
Very true about the sling rotation.... It gets awfully uncomfy carrying a 2L water bladder in it.

I think you intentionally are finding problems (issues) with it. 1st, a manufacturer doesn't not need to tell you what to use it for. That's why you do the research, look at your gear & then say yes or no to it working for you. This pack is perfect for me. It's actually my camera bag. I have my DSLR in there, I have a small plastic container with snacks for the kids. I've worn it all day on photo walks & never had to tighten it. I use the stabilizer strap & it holds the pack nice & snug in a co

Reviewers of Maxpedition products tend to only mention the good things because most of them are getting the items for free from the company. If you compare the internal organization and design of most Maxpedition packs with other brands such as Camelback and even 5.11 it's easy to realize they are not really that good value.
Fatlazywife, you're absolutely right - to keep the review under 10 minutes, I didn't discuss the stabilizer strap. In my opinion, it's not a viable solution to the problem of rotation, since it removes the primary reason to consider the pack in the first place - the ability to shift the bag in front of you. (That can't be done with the stabilizer strap attached.)
