The Florida Marlins' new ballpark is a proposed ballpark that will be built near downtown Miami in the area known as "Little Havana". It will be located at the site of the former Miami Orange Bowl. Upon completion, the new stadium will become home to the Miami Marlins. Groundbreaking and construction are tentatively scheduled to start in May 2009, and the Marlins are scheduled to move into their new home most likely in April 2012. The stadium will likely become the sixth Major League Baseball stadium to have a retractable roof. Others include: Rogers Centre, Chase Field, Safeco Field, Minute Maid Park, and Miller Park.
With a planned seating capacity of 37,000, it will be the third-smallest stadium in Major League Baseball by official capacity, and the smallest by actual capacity. If the proposed Cisco Field and Rays Ballpark are built, then it will become third-smallest by actual capacity as well

This stadium will be full only on opening days and if marlins get to the postseason. First of all it's been built on a poor neighbor like in Haiti.

The stadium is nice and all but its on the middle of a bad neighborhood, Little Havana. Too many crimes and assaults and car break-ins. Should of been built in next to AA Arena, Dolphins Stadium, Panthers Arena or Homestead-Miami Speedway
