  • @kingnetune117 agreed, I have the extreme passion for aviation as well. I'm more into the airlines but fighter jets always seem to take my breath away just as much as airliners do. If I ever happen to fly for the military I'd rather do something like cargo or transporting troops, etc. Just me but it's such a sweet career. Nothing better then it.

  • No doubt. USAF is incredible!

  • im still in high school... i will try everything i have to become a fighter pilot.. my fathers last words were "The Airforce is the creme of the crop" i know its going to be really hard to do it but, i want to be like all the other pilots who are serving our wonderful country. Thank you all for giving me the motivation to want to serve. :)

  • Too bad its near impossible to become a USAF fighter pilot these days. Hell I'd be happy being a transport pilot.

  • Agreed bro, i want to be a navy aviator for the navy or the marine core. People say i cant do it. But working out every other day, having near perfection grads, enrolled in NJROTC and sea cadets, i have a pretty good chance

  • @kingneptune117 flying is my dream. nuf said.

  • Great video...terrible choice of music!

  • @kingneptune117 Absolute true, maybe we have the reborn spirit of downed fighter pilots, maybe it's a WWI or WWII fighter, a Korean, Yom Kipur even a Vietnam fighter (I'm 36), not a Malvinas fighter for most of us. Who knows... I dreamed a lot seated in the pilot's seat of Tomcat at Mach 2, or in the hands of a mustang or a focke wulf shaking a bandit on my six. Only who has the same passion could understand us

  • @coolyo366 kinda had nothing else to do. been grounded due to weather and the holidays. i didn't do it to feel good just put in my five cents on that but thank you for enlightening me on it being used in other forms, I had only heard those two before and I've been in aviation all my life (My father and brother both work for the FAA and because of that I have met many pilots) so I found it kinda of a surprise.

  • @kidf22 Its funny how I already know that and im a pilot as well, but last time I checked you could use it in any form including those 2 phrases. Either way I think you just wasted your time going back in comments to make yourself feel better than others by correcting a 6 month old comment ;)

  • @coolyo366 he (ATBirdMan) is correct. kick the tires (kicking the tires in pre-flight to make sure they're fine) and light the fires (afterburners). I should know because some of my good friends are and were fighter pilots (one of em flew F-4s in Vietnam) and I'm a pilot as well. Many people use it as a fun way of saying they're taking off. We're pilots, I think we deserve to have a little fun even if its stupid to you ground dwellers.

  • wow that terrible music really ruins this video
