Don't talk best in NBA history if you automatically leave out players you never saw play. If you leave players like Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain and Oscar Robertson out of consideration, then you don't know enough about NBA history for your list to matter. Call your list "the best I ever saw" or " the best in the last 25 years", or whatever. Just don't say " best in NBA history". Go do some research first.

Any one who Thinks Kobe is better than Oscar , Wilt , Or Kareem has some problems . Dont get me wrong kobe is a good player but he isnt greater than the BIG O . I'm pretty sure Kobe has never averaged A TRIPLE DOUBLE for a whole Season . No one has. I also get mad when I see someone put MJ at number one . He was very good but Its not like he is the best player that ever played . If you look at the squads he had Scotty Pippen with him . Thats the reason they didnt win a title until 92' .

Anyone who leaves out Kareem clearly don't know basketball from a historical standpoint. What could you possibly base Kobe's inclusion over Kareem on. Care to explain?

I change Shaq for Russell, the rest is perfect

@tumtumrules24 Everything you said is incorrect.

RIDICULOUS! Take Kobe out of the List and the you have good top 4 list.

A couple things:
1. Bird had more steals, blocks. rebounds , and point than magic. This is by general season because Bird was injured one season playing 6 games.
2. Good Job for leaving out Wilt because he could just stand under the hoop and dunk it every time
3. Bill Russell should be higher for creating the blocked shot. He created it, nobody else has actually come up with something like that. And he could score, his best season was about 19 ppg
4. Bill Walton is honorable mention

i dont understand how anyone could ever possibly leave out Wilt Chamberlain

Really, it isn't that hard to look this stuff up. Each thing you've listed here is simply false:
1. Average height when Wilt entered the league in 1959 = 6'5". Average height when he left = 6'6". Average height today = 6'7".
2. Three second rule instituted: 1936. So he didn't just camp in the lane. In fact, the League widened the lane from 12 to 16 feet to try to stop his dominance (it didn't work).
3. WIlt's FG % in 1961-62 when he averaged 50 pts. a game: .506

To Kobe haters: dont think that those old-school players like Kareem, Wilt, Malone, Oscar Robertson and the others are better than Kobe. Kobe mastered ALL basketball technics! there is no chance that other player than MJ is better than Bryant!
