actually it came out first on a Crusaders LP but they had Bill Withers on the vocals. It was included in the '81 Greatest Hits compilation by Bill Withers.
Lovely track it has been sampled on Tupac's "Papa'z Song"

My big brother ELLIOT IFIDON ORHEWERE (1957 - 1980) brought this home and the soul shadow has remained ever since. The greatest loss of my life.

See, my dad passed this year, and when I think of Michael Jackson passing, James Brown, Issac Hayes, this song comes to mind, as if all that's left are "Soul Shadows"

I remember being so in love with this man. He is extremely underrated artiste.
He sang so smooth, so soulful, so beautiful. Between him Curtis Mayfield and Teddy Pendergrass, I don't know who I loved more.
