yes and no
the bigger the TV, the larger the space between you and the TV.
With my 42", the sweet spot is bought 4.5'-6' which is ideal for my surroundings- bigger isnt always better- get what fits your need (not what you may want or whats on sale [lets face it, i want a 62" but it aint happening in my room lol])

DO U THINK THEY 55 INCH WOULD DO GREAT IN 3D I HEARD THE SMALLER THE TV IS WITH PASSIVE 3D THE BETTER IT IS
