I put it next to the vein on my neck, and the graphic level thing that shows you how much loud the sound is registered my pulse!

Just got mine this morning. Thought it was broken, but I found out a minute or two later I plugged it into the wrong port on my sound card. I also figured out how to make the sound card project the microphone input like a loudspeaker.
