Jezze... Square waves going through a transformer. Transformers typically increase (or decrease) increase alternating voltages. The catch is if you double the voltage at the output, you get 1/2 the current, for the same net power. A transformer is just like a car's transmission, where voltage is like angular speed, and current is like torque, if you can visualize that. Have you ever heard of a car transmission that puts out more power than you put in?

Nice project. I was thinking to close the magnetic loop using an air coil. That will decrease the flux in the collector coil.
