So you tune the low E string up or down? Tunings that change by more than a third often throw me off.

also, if you dig dough martsch, check out "Iron horse." They are a filthy bluegrass band that covers from modest mouse songs and the shins all the way ozzie and matallica. Check out dramamine by modest mouse then listen to iron horse's version if you are down. straight filthy banjo.

I would give my left nut if you posted a video, a basic walk through, on how to play this. This and 'window' are two songs that I want to learn more than anything. Along with some black keys and iron and wine songs. I hope you are down with that. Please for allah's sake

I picked it out by ear. There are no tabs for any of Doug's slide stuff. The key is finding the right tuning which is GGDGBD.

is that the tuning for the lot of his songs on his solo album? reason being i've been trying to figure out window and instrumental with the slide bits. awesome cover btw man!

Most his songs are just an open G variation which is GGDGF#D or GGDGBD
