  • Gary - get off the bus. You are a drag. You don't get it. Somewhere in cyberspace, a gay ass boyband video is calling your name. Go check it out and leave the Jerry vids to those with zn expanded consciousness and good taste in music. We don't purposely travel to other types of vids and bash people's music, don't do it to ours. Goodby - forever.

  • Jerry Garcia will always be an American icon.

  • I prefer this later faster version of the song over the original slower version.

  • what an adrenaline rush.....

  • let me also say that jerry plays with some of the most feeling i've ever seen.. i'm a guitar player myself and look to him for inspiration on a daily basis. Jerry didn't always "hit the note" but he always tried and always explored, and when things came together, they REALLY came together.

  • Same here... the dead came to play the boston garden in '94, I was 13 and couldn't get around to see them.... I've seen every other incarnation of the band w/o jerry but it just doesn't feel the same... man what I'd give to see Jerry play again. Oh well, RIP JERRY.

  • haha id rather feel this music than be the richest man in the world I love the dead unfortunatly never able to see them because of the age I wish i could of seen and been apart of that amazing scene and go to these amazing shows. Jerry and the Dead make some of my favorite music of all time that comes right from the heart.

  • I was at this show. 14 years old. The only time I ever saw Jerry live.

  • this whole tour ws great esp. albany........

  • it did'nt hurt that robert hunter was one of the greatest songwriters to ever live also. i was never crazy about hart or kreutzman though, cant seem to find a backbeat, or even know what a kickdrum is, but i guess that's what made the dead what they are. unique.... there will never be another. i guess if the drummers were slick and "in the pocket" it would have detracted from the bigger picture. even lesh. fuck the whole sound is organized chaos. that should'nt work but does...

  • jerry was and still is proof that all is right in the world. fragile, yet powerful. full of joy. his guitar playing gives me the pee shivers. nothing slick or contrived about the dead. jerry is a national treasure. i like all kinds of music, but the dead are my favorite because of thier integrity and the message and the fact they live moment to moment and each show is different. they never cared about being "polished" they shoot off the hip. if people don't get it, it's their loss i guess.
