Congenital Heart Defects are the #1 cause of infant death. Many are diagnosed before birth but not all. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is considered one of the most complex of heart defects. The left side of the heart (the stronger side-considered the work horse of the heart) never fully developes and is non functional. David was 7 weeks premature and not diagnosed until 5 hours after birth. many babies are not diagnosed until it is too late. We were lucky enough to have 4 beautiful months with our son.

Hi David's Mom - so beautiful & so heartbreaking - Sending you a big hug of love & understanding - He had so much lovely black hair, just like my darling Katie - They are playing away happily up in heaven and they're not in pain.
