  • This is from John´s Passion the Aria "Ich folge dir gleichfalls mit freudigen Schritten" and not from Matthew´s Passion "Aus Liebe will mein Heiland sterben"

  • That's Ich folge dir gleich falls, not Aus Liebe

  • Woops! Good call! Yes, this is BWV 245.

  • By the way this isn't BWV 224, its 225. Took me forever to find the sheets for it.

  • Wow. He really nailed it. What tone, what control over voice!

Humans may make some outstanding instruments for music. Some louder, longer, or more unique, but nothing beats the human voice. Only God could have created such an instrument!

  • Really a gentle, childlike voice - really beautiful!

  • Absolutly. Come from Aria in Saint Matthew Passion with soloist of Wiener Sängerknaben

  • Ernst Mantsch, a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir in the 1960s. This is from the 1963 recording of Bach's St John's Passion, conducted by Hans Gillesberger and Nikolaus Harnoncourt

  • Very beautiful, thank you for sharing.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • Wie schoen... Aber... Who's the soloist?
