@boxing238-The fact you describe this programme as "bullshit" (why? is it made up?) just because it doesn't mention Charles Upham is a sad refelection on you rather than the programme. Upham didn't feel the need to bang on about his achievement any more than Major Cain did. It's a shame that a sad little nobody like you who isn't worthy to lick either man's boots feels the need to denigrate Cain's story just because you're a sad little Kiwi with an inferiority complex. Grow up boy.

@boxing238 blah blah blah everybody wants their countries story to be told, you sound like an american

@jsellars422 theres no need to explain what the documentary is about because i watched it all and infact he did mention severel other VC winners and mentioned there storys but i would think that it would mention the only combat soilder to recieve the award twice and for your infomation i know new zealand is part of the commonwealth since im from there your comment just makes you sound like a fucking know it all

@boxing238 This documentary is about Robert Cain and what he did to win the VC in the battle of arnhem. While i have no doubt each and every recipient deserves to have their story told it is not possible in hour long documentary. And he did mention the commonwealth, which includes NZ. But i wouldn't expect you to know that, with your moronic attitude demonstrated in the opening of your comment

Eventhough i'm hugely against wars, especially those fought in recent times, i LOVE the docu's Jeremy has made. He may be aping around on Top Gear, but man he can tell a story!
Thanks a lot for uploading. I never took my eyes of the screen watching this whole thing, and feel enriched having shared in the experience.

@TheTwollocks I wouldn't want Hollywood to make a film about him, they would make some crappy, over glorified rubbish. I'm fairly sure the guy would be turning in his grave if they did. No actor, no matter how good they are, could ever ever ever play the role correctly. It is virtually impossible for anyone to comprehend what he was feeling. I have friends in the forces who have watched this and say themselves they can't understand what kept him going. Of course, this is my opinion :)

Maj. Cain sir, id like to know where you kept your giant testies and exactly how heavy those iron bastards must have been. *salute*

One of the finest T.V. programmes ever made.

Not only Brits fought in battle of Arnhem. Please mention gen. Sosabowski and his soldiers.
Thankyou. I remember watching this the first time it came on TV. A year or so ago i created a Facebook Fan Page for the Major. Join it :)
LEGEND.
