This is a very simple circuit by NE555 and BD249C. The Transformer is a minimum 20W 12V/230V Transformer. This circuit operating with 12V Battery. You can use 4.....36W Tubes for light. I tested here this circuit with 1X10W Tube.

    This was a beta inverter. I updated the inverter to a portable version. The new version is only 2 transistor and 1 resistor :)

  • For the 10W 1foot tube you need 12V/80V transformer (or 15V/120V), core assembled with a gap.
