This guitar is a dream that came true.
After many years of reading everything that I could get about guitar building and modifying my old guitars back and forth I finally realized it.
It is a Thinline Telecaster style guitar with PAF-Type Humbuckers (see the slide on the beginning of the film for details). The wood parts (neck and body) came from Warmoth. The Humbuckers are Seymour Duncan "Seth Lover" models.
I might just have been lucky. But it turned out to be a very fine guitar.
Very versatile. Percussive, responsive, good sustain and a very present Tone.
I called it "The Harvest".
The sound of this demonstration was recorded using only the on-board microphone of the video-camera. That's not a great solution, but I've heard worse examples here on youtube.
I dedicate this demo to all the people out there who are planning to build their own guitar. Just do it! You will end up having a unique instrument that nobody else has. And if you're lucky it even sounds greater and plays better than many stock guitars.
And I dedicate it of course to my brother "Rizza" Oemm! Keep the spirit flowing!

  • That is on sexy guitar :) how much did it cost In general

  • @caldy19870305 : it shure wasn't cheap! If you think that you can save money with DIY you're wrong. You do it because you want to have something unique. It did cost me about 1500 Euros, which is about 2100 USD....

  • beautiful axe. which finish did you choose?

  • @dmazanec : thank you. It is called "Honeyburst".

  • @bgrosse52

    thanks for your comment:

there are plenty of wiring diagrams. It seems that youtube doesn't permit to post links! So I have to tell you in a different way where you can find great wiring diagrams.

Go to seymourduncan dot kom and there under support you might find a lot of wiring diagrams.

Another great source is guitarelectronics dot kom. Here you will also find what you need.

    Good Luck!

  • Thanks, mate! Best Warmoth demo I have ever seen on the net....and an awesome guitar.

  • Telecaster? Nope, I don't hear it. It sure is pretty tho.

  • Nice looking guitar--but it sounds really thin to me --no snot--little weak on the sustain. Do another vid and crank the sucker up !

  • @telekhal Sweat!

  • @bgrosse52 fender has thy wiring diagrams available at their web site. also, seymoure duncan has wiring for all typical electrics. and guitar fetish has a really nice color-coded one that is super easy to follow.

  • Nice guitar (and nice playing, btw) - really nice finish.
