Making a arrowhead out of flint, I baked the flint rock over night in hot coal's buried under the ground it help's to get a flake to work with.

  • @Hexhiss i have baked to flint to make it flake a lot easier, thank for the tip i will do this. Tim

  • have you ever used the heating method for arrowhead making? you can also heat the fling in a fire, and then use water, dropped from your fingertips a drop at a time to flake off the chips, less strength involved. This method is ONLY to be used with glasslike rock that stays "fluid" Otherwise you can shatter the rock and really cut yourself. Heres a hint, if you can break the rock into moderately flat pieces, you can water chip it.
