Test firing my CA G3 (started out as a SAR Taktik 2).
Upgrades on the gun:

External:
Wood stock and front grip, railed scope with docter sight, new pistol grip, shortened barrel and muzzle break, reinforced gas tube (they tend to break on the CA G3's).

Internal:
ASCU Mosfet/control unit ,11.1v 1200mAh Lipo stick battery for MP5k, Element 9mm ball bearing gear box, Sector clipped JG gears, Element high speed motor, Deepfire titanium piston, m120 spring, ball bearing springguide and piston head, o-ringed metal nozzle. hardchromed cylinder

Sorry about the bad sound. The camera picks up the whine from the box but not the bang from the barrel. It really is properly shimmed even if it doesnt sound like it.

  • dont know if its ur camera but you gotta adjust ur motor

  • @MegaIndianboy Yeah, you're right. Problem is the motor adjutment screw is stripped so I have put shims under the motor to get it in the right place. Not a solution that I recommend.

  • what kind of scope is dat?

  • @randomperson12494

Tasco railed 3-9 Zoom scope bought at RSOV + a docter sight that I took off a used Acog

  • I think I'll make a separate video about what I did to get the gun looking the way it is now. Kind of difficult to describe. The basic formula is Surplus woodkit from Zib militaria + time + files of different sorts + dremel =Wood furniture G3.

The gas tube was reinforced using "liquid metal", some sort of epoxy resin, just where it meets the receiver, thats where they usually break.

  • i modded that wood to fit on a g33e.

  • @IIICruentusIII Gas Tube? There is no gas tube on a G3. In a properly shimmed gearbox, there is no whine at all, not even little, so it is not shimmed well. Try bevel gear shimming. The 9mm box was a bad decision, as well as the deep fire piston.

  • this is nice im bout to fix mine but please do not do what i did, i snapped the stock on mine from diving and landed wrong

  • and as far as a motor, I kinda had my eye on the systema magnum. any tips or advice??

  • I am fairly new to airsoft but know enough to know what I want which is a dmr type rifle. I have a classic army G3-SG1. it's stock as far as I know.

I want it upgraded to around 540 fps with the full auto capability turned off permanently. however I know it is unwise to simply put a stronger spring and plain stupid to put a motor that's too powerful for stock gears. so for a responsible upgrade to 540 fps, how much would that cost? I don't want to spend much more than $200 on upgrades and as fa

  • very nice... i like the ruged used look to it. looks real!

  • 0:50 do the gears lock up or is it just me?
