  • Whatever points us toward single payer.

Single payer is where it's at. Heard Doug Henwood (excellent radio show/podcast!) mention the other day that the Gummint could buy out the whole private insurance industry--"nationalize the lot of them"--for $200 bil.

This nationalization would pay for itself in LESS THAN A SINGLE YEAR.

Remember that when the righty kooks want to talk 'fiscal responsibility'.

  • As a doctor inthe health care system, I find "Mad-as-Hell Doctors" to be right on target! Now if we can get the obstructionists, liars, Beckers, Limpballers, and all other right-wing buffoons to shut down their phonus-balonus ravings and rantings and bold lies, maybe we can get the health care we DESERVE! This matter is not up to the nuts; the questionable, specious lies spewing forth from the right-wing nutters ARE PURE DESPERATION, intent on holding onto their perceived "power base"!

  • @1340rick Public option does not actually lower the wages of the doctors at all. -_-

If you want to discuss about healthcare, please get your facts straight first. This is why we can't get anything done in this country.

If you look at the pay of doctors in nations with universal healthcare, their pay is more or less the same as it would have been if their healthcare were private. Even if lets ASSUME somehow their pay would be lower, they would still be the in the same income bracket.

  • @1340rick He gets paid the exact same regardless......

  • nice show trying to cover up the lies about national health care, this is a joke,a doctor complaining about a system not in place that will pay him less, where did they get this liberal joke

  • You said it! American's are kept divided by the fear mongering repeated daily by politiciahs who've found it effective in the past. The people need to come together, put aside the petty( and exploited) differences we have and come together to demand universal healthcare as a right for all. No more "SILENT AND COMPLIANT" people that allow OUR country to be sucked dry by immoral, unethical politicians that facilite the goals of for profit care...

  • this is GREAT. i'm surprised MSNBC would air something like this! they're part of the establishment too....

  • Let's hear it for these real DOCTORS who really honor their HIPPOCRATIC OATH !!!

  • Did you notice how the ticker said: "Mad as hell Doctor's system puts profits before patients". Shouldn't that be... "puts patients before profits"!? BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT IT DOES!

  • Go Eddie.
