Five major blocks are used here. In reality, one would follow through with a strike on the first or second block which is called a linking bridge. This is strictly practiced to learn how to flow defensively from bridge to bridge without clashing.

  • Great Jook -Lum!!! For I am no master(or know much at all) but in the most respectable manner I think your sai-shu looks more like a bong sao. :) Train hard and live easy my friend!!!

  • Thanks and likewise. This linking bridges exercise drill is fast and my wife doesn't know much kung fu, so I will post a clearer sai shu as well as other blocks in the next week or two. Good bong sau and good sai shu will have a similar look once refined. It;s just that a sai shu never goes high. Ideally the sai shu slices and corks the center line. It also angles at the lower left gate. Refer to my other clip titled chai shu. Watch at 0.06 seconds

  • I forgot to mention. Sifu GFM has a clip on his website on sai shu. Check it out.

    peace

  • hahhahaha Before I read the other comments, I was thinking 'that's a pretty sweet tv.'

  • Things get outdated so fast, I will cry the day my tv becomes obsolete :(

  • @yinghonghaohan319 語言之馬,小道也!古人話落,小道!系叫我地唔好注重語言外表,內容先至系真既料!Language is but the superficiality; connotation is the beef ! Just like gungfu, the floweriness is nothing; the real gungfu is the meat ! I just envy you guys knowing JookLum Praying Mantis ! I just know Praying but not Mantis ! Pray that u guys are blessed !
