Holger Petersen and Glenn Bengtsson perform Ave Maria by Mascagni in Farhult 2009

Duo Cantaton (untranslatable, I'm afraid), i. e. Holger Petersen (violin) and Glenn Bengtsson (barytenor) perform Ave Maria by Pietro Mascagni based on the orchestral piece Intermezzo Sinfonico from his opera Cavalleria rusticana, from a Christmas concert in the Church of Farhult, Sweden, on January 6th 2009 with pianist Bernt-Ove Kroon. The concert was filmed with a poor old flickering partly-out-of-focus videocamera, operated by Mrs. Kroon with the utmost good will, diligence and patience, hence the all to frequent blurring, unmotivated zooming and sliding to stay in focus as well as the presumed unwillingness to withhold performers within camera reach. Good performance and interpretation, though, and a beautiful church to contemplate!
