http://www.premierguitar.com PG's Joe Coffey is On Location in Petaluma, CA, where he tours the Mesa Boogie factory. In part 2 of the tour, we check out how Mesa Boogie constructs their circuit boards. We see how the intricate process works, including the use of large machines, both automated and manned, and the "Terminator Machine," which applies molten solder to the circuit board to ensure the components security on both sides of the board.

  • MADE IN USA - by mexicans.

  • Wow. Some serious cork sniffers and, strangely enough, racists making comments on this vid! A couple people in the vid aren't white and suddenly Mesa Boogie is being accused of using immigrant labor. Seems...what's the word I'm looking for? ...Oh, yeah: Stupid! Hey, retards! Lots of people, especially in a state like CA are of asian and meso american descent...and they're also US citizens...shocking, I know. Grow up. And my Mark V kills your boutique amps any day.

  • I own a Mesa and its the best amp I've ever owned, and I have owned almost everything. That being said, I pulled the chassis to check a few thins out and i was horrified by the quality of the solder joints on my board. Dull, dirty, cold solder joints throughout, I cannot believe this amp passed Q.C., or even turns on for that matter. This vid explains a lot, a human simply could not make so man bad solder joints.Kind of pissed me off. Good bang for buck thou, compared to some"boutique" amps.

  • I'll just keep my THD. Thanks.

  • Dusty, open door to the parking , low tech process...

At these conditions the items are overpriced.

  • I'm sorry but after watching this video, I've got a bad taste in my mouth and I'm buying a "boutique" amp or some other new company. That factory looked sloppy, slobby and full of people who's citizenship may be questionable. At the prices they charge...no thanks.

  • show me what happens to a human hand when its bathed in that hot sauder LOL

  • @bravedwarf the mode four is junk i tryied one and as i turned a knob in came loose .pos.i do like marshall though

  • @gtrball7600 i remember one of the factory dvd's came with a guitar magazine and i was disgusted on it's built quality and they wanted £1k+ for a mode four amp.. i think on the dvd one of the guy goes the PCB board THE SAME on each head unit just different componets etc.. least boogie each amp has its own thing and think about it boogie makes for the whole world and look at the quality of the wood. marshall i think said they use mdf lol.. where is that dvd

  • I wonder what kind of deals these workers get....they might get a Triple recto with some minor blems for like a grand....that would be the shit.
