How to determine if your DC Jack is bad on your laptop, here is a quick video that may help you save a lot of money - up to $300.00 if a computer repair shop is trying to gouge you in a hi repair bill to fix your notebook pc.

Some Repair shops will just say it needs a new motherboard and those are the ones you may need to worry about.

  • Your missing a key component in the video, you go right from solder finish to plugging in when you never show the installation of the new jack. I will find a different video to show me that important point.

  • @firstcomputerservice those jacks are pretty straight forward to install, now when you

get a smashed in DC Jack Port seat on the bottom case then that needs to be shown, I will try to do that video someday, I have a whole new method in seating the DC Jack in the case of Toshiba's and HP's I do not even have time now to solder these anymore I just buy the pre-made plug in jacks, I still solder the Toshiba Jacks.
