Windsor Hills/View Park Residents Support and Thank CVS Corporation and CVS Regional Manager, Earle Robinson. Shortly after this picket, Mr. Robinson went to bat for the residents, testifying against T-Mobile and the property owner, Alexander Haagen. After more than 1 1/2 years and 7 hearings, Windsor Hills/View Park Residents Prevailed. see:

Also see: http://www.cloutnow.org/ and sign or endorse the petition to bring back local control to regulate wireless facilities. CLOUT (Coalition for Local Oversight of Utility Technologies - http://www.cloutnow.org/) is a fast growing national coalition formed as a result of this tremendous backlash against the unchecked proliferation of wireless facilities now targeting residential areas and schools, as wireless companies seek to market new wireless services. (fyi: T-Mobile is currently the most aggressive because, unlike the largest wireless carriers -AT&T and Verizon-, they have no wired infrastructure/landlines to compete for market share of customers who buy bundled services. T-Mobile has also been heavily marketing wireless only households with their HotSpot At Home.)

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors also took action June 2nd, calling for Repeal of Federal Cell Tower Health Preemption. You can read their resolution at the www.cloutnow.org site in addition to the LA City School boards resolution regarding cell towers near schools that passed May 26th. Be sure to see letters of endorsements.

Residents across the country have been outraged over the disregard outside telecom companies have for local building and zoning codes, the deceptive and aggressive tactics used by wireless companies to force their way into residential areas, and the fact that many placements of cell towers and related wireless facilities turn out to be unnecessary to serve existing demand or provide public safety benefits. Elected officials should also be informed that 911 calls from cell phones are designed to be picked up by any available carrier as long as the cell phone making the call has a charged battery and even if the contract has expired for that phone. Arguing that more cell towers are needed to ensure 911 service is a red herring used by cell carriers throughout the country to justify their own business plans and marketing goals, while encouraging citizens to give up landlines and the loss of payphones which provide the most reliable public safety benefits. • Finally a real protest! What was the outcome of this? Oh yeah nothing. Did you guys re-elect your government. Yes... well good job Americans.

  • @LOLyourshitisfunny actually, the protest led to a very favorable outcome. The residents won - 5-0 nothing at the last hearing appealed by T-Mobile - and the permit was denied. So the political pressure of the protest helped the citizens battle against T-Mobile's lawyers and lobbyists. Thanks for asking.

  • As a scientist, it is very frustrating to see people protesting against "radiation" when most of them probably don't even know what the word means. People fear what they don't understand, and it seems as if we live in a world of increasing ignorance and contempt towards science.

  • lemonrind - I find it more frustrating powerful industries (telecom, tobacco, oil) suppress studies and/or promote junk science. Read the studies in the bioinitiative report or independent research coming from other countries. see Clout link under more info, click on LA City Board Resolution, scroll down to the endorsement letters & read the one from Dr. Martin Blank. He is a scientist who both understands and is very concerned about the low level RADIATION. What kind of scientist are you?

  • The interview with the little girl (Megan) is the best part!! :)

  • It is a choice that we can make now.

1: No reception inside your home: Good sleep and healthy life.

2: Good reception inside your home: Bad sleep and unhealthy life.

But choice 2 made is no returning back to choices.

It is end of line for some people then.

Thats because the silly contract of cell towers.

    Why?

DO the no that it will proven just like asbestos ?

  • This helps people understand how the cell phone companies ignor health issues
