Just a short tutorial for the guitar introduction for the song "Talk" by Coldplay.

- I'm afraid I can't help you guys out with the tabs because I'm not so sure how to read tabs properly ha.. I figured this out by ear and would encourage you to do the same, also the fingerings can be seen in the video.

I know Jonny Buckland plays it with a tele and a fender amp, but i sold my thinline tele so.. oh well. This was even closer to the original tone than my current other tele, which is a mahogany set neck tele. and.. I only have a Vox AC4TV in this room. Tone isn't particularly good, recorded with a Sony Camcorder

Rig: Fender John Mayer BLK 1 Stratocaster - Pedalboard - Vox AC4TV

Pedalboard: http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/247851_10150282395675336_50716...

Pedals used were the Goosniqueworx Seventheaven, CAE Boost/Line Driver (not pictured), Strymon El Capistan Tape Echo, Strymon Blue Sky Reverb and Eventide Timefactor.

One of my favourite songs, by one of my favourite bands!

Pardon the tardiness and the timing mistakes, this was a spur of the moment thing late at night.

  • What's your delay settings ??? Great job ....

  • @nic2flash08 I honestly don't remember, but i was using both delay and reverb.

Strymon El Capistan and Strymon Blue Sky Reverb. The BSR was set to a normal room/hall type of reverb, nothing special there. the el cap.. i can't remember heh.

  • you're good kid i think by now u can read tabs can u help me out with that??? please

  • @TheKillzome hey man, sorry, but i still really don't know how to read tabs. It's really best if you just look out for the fret placings in the video, thats the purpose of the video. Together with that as a rough gauge, use your ears to figure out the notes, I find that it helps better that way! Trains your ears to listen out for notes and keys.
