Although I somewhat dislike indoor soccer now I was a big fan in the 80's when the Steamers and Stars were playing in St. Louis. Unfortunately, lack of national TV coverage was only half the league's problem. Like the NASL, speculating owners (and a somewhat unreasonable players' union) expected indoor soccer to be the next big sport in America, based partially on early success in cities like St. Louis and Cleveland. Because this didn't happen the league folded five years after this video.
