This was created by simply shifting slices of frames around. Like energy, no frames were created or destroyed, though a few overlays were created. Using aviSynth and VirtuaDub.

This is the opposite of the Yin section, showing how much worse he could be.

I'll say it again: It is a pulse motor. A reflection off the silver tape triggers a big electromagnet under the desk. There is a magnet attached to the spinning disk that gets a push each time the electromagnet is pulsed on. The lighting is unusual, like a spot light, to make it easier for the photocell that is looking at the silver tape.

The disk's rotational energy goes up by roughly 600 times as compared to the initial input from his hand. It all comes from the electromagnet.
