when i restart the computer with the disc, it tells me to pick either Windows XP or Ubuntu.... when i click Ubuntu it does the little loading shit and then it goes to a tan screen then a black screen and it stays at the black screen.... what the fuck is wrong with this shit!!!!!

Thanks Robin :)

If you have a low-end system, I strongly recommend that you do NOT browse the internet, or listen to music or IM while burning your CD - infact I suggest you start burning the CD then walk away and come back in 10 minutes - as it may cause "buffer under-run" which renders the CD useless.
i downloaded the file, i extracted it and it dont show the iso

Try to extract the file again, but this time target where you want the compressed file to be unzipped to. If it is downloaded as an ISO file and it is not in a zipped file, then you dont need to extract it, you just need to burn to disc.

dude my comp is fuct! it won't boot...i got this fatal exception error of not syncing or something...i dunno. my mother boards been giving me problems for a long time now.

If it is a motherboard problem, then Linux wont make any difference to it (neither will any other OS). Replace your mobo. You can buy cheap ones from ebuyer dot com.

It depends on where you saved the file, if you used a download manager then it will be stored in the default location. Look around the File System, you will find it if download has really completed.
