Yet another video of people misusing forklifts.

This was at Cirque du Soleil, which put an old-fashioned circus tent in a parking lot. The tent "spikes" had to be driven into the concrete of the parking lot. They decided to use a forklift to remove them from the concrete.

As you can see, the "weight" that comes from trying to remove a concrete spike driven into concrete is far above the forklift's rated weight limit. It lifts the rear wheels off the ground and would have continued to tip the lift if the chain used to pull up the spike hadn't broken.

  • @weplay89 That's not a reason to keep doing stupid things, it only means you've gotten lucky so far and you've damaged expensive equipment

  • Looks like a Hertz rental, maintenance might have seen a little spike that week.

  • thats not forklift abuse, thats spine abuse

  • I absolutely agee...flt's are not toys nor are they like cars or go carts..something to play with...they weigh tons and have huge kinetic energy used in a relatively small workspace...not like a car with loads of space on the road...for you american cousins...like operating a hummer in a shopping mall...utmost care must be taken at all times

  • everywhere you go you got people who do crazy stuff on forklifts to mean it looks cool, just don't do that shit around me on my shift, or before my shift especially! I don't need to fill out a whole sheet of problems from the get go.

  • @VancouverCanucksRock Same on my workplace...

  • Well from my I've learned from my workplace, that they'll allow any idiot on a forklift

  • i work with forktrucks quite alot and so far i have heard of many fatalaties through messing around and using forklifts as toys. only recently a man was almost killed through recing round of a forktruck it tipped and crushed him broke all his ribs and punctured his liver. not toys
