Tutorial Program: Adobe Illustrator CS4 (not specific to CS4 - you can use CS3 or older if you prefer)

- How to make a complex gradient in a complex shape -

We start by making a complex shape (or line) by using the pen tool, copy and paste that line and then we add a gradient by using the blend tool.

This is not gradient. If you are expert then make a gradient in closed path complexed shape.

I know this is crazy but how did you make the curvy line in the beginning? I know you used the pen tool and then I don't know. Help please!

Thanks for uploading this, it is a good tutorial. The basic concept is great for making things look 3D curves. One thing I noticed is how you zoomed in to certain parts of the screen while making this video. Do you mind telling me what screen recording software you used to be able to do this? hey, i have a request, can you do a tutorial (illustrator) about like making a tree with the pen tool, not a normal outline, an advanced, high detail tree.. that would be sooooo awsome thanks ;)
