On May 17, 2011 President Barack Obama hosted a reception for Jewish community leaders from across the country in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month. Yeshiva University President Richard M. Joel was in attendance, as well as YU's a cappella group, The Maccabeats http://www.maccabeats.com/, who provided musical entertainment.

  • Anyone who hates this video can go pound sand. They are incredibly talented, and their choice of subject matter should be separate from respecting their talent. That said, I respect their talent AND their message as a man raised as a Roman Catholic.

  • You can see all the goyem leaving or looking away, talking and a lady in front is chuckling. Ignorance is still in vogue, more so than ever!

    I only wish they would have followed tradition in singing the second song as Hallelukah. I think they missed an oppurtunity to make a Kiddush Hashem.

  • I agree with sajam500. The people n the room were too busy shmoozing and "networking" to pay attention to these enthusiastic and talented young men. Shame on them!
