A demo first shown at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, the Raven demo, also known as "Two to Tango", displays some of the graphics capabilities that the Xbox will be capable of. From the lighting, to the fluid animations, to the great looking graphics this demo was a hit.

Finally, the last demo we saw was "Two to Tango." This demo is the infamous Raven and Robot scene. Very high resolution with immense sound, this demo is very dramatic. Raven pops out of the robot, and is standing to the robot. They then do some exercises in synchronization, and jokingly Hebenthal had the Robot & Raven "itch" their bodies. The scene was very detailed, and could be viewed from many different angles that the player could choose. The Raven's movement was very realistic, and featured self-shadowing as well as a reflection off the metallic surface of the Robot.

  • Over a decade later, this animation is still quite impressive. There were also plans to have Raven, and possibly the robot as well, in a game but nothing ever came of it.

  • This is most likely what they thought the Xbox was capable of at the time. Obviously it is not.

  • @blahethanblah I was thinking the same thing.

  • Man, the world of technology has come a long way since the original xbox.

  • ummmm...Real Steel anyone?

  • this clearly is the original xbox engine like it or not

i'm always amazed at people's ability to cram the words fuck and shit so many times in one comment.
