WE ARE NOT KIDS!!! most of us are over 20, some are 18 or 19!! so we are actually adults and stop feeling bad for us,who attended the HA!! i just fininshed the HA last august and it was the best year of my life and to be honest Ron Luce and rest of the leadership aren't rlly the ones who run all the Teen Mania programs and it mostly run by the particapates of the progams like the HA!!!

Ron Luce you are a scumbag. You brainwash impressionable kids into giving you $8000 to join your cult while simultaneously retaining tax-exempt status. Congratulations, you're a thief just like every other charlatan that hides behind a cross.

God ABSOLUTELY does NOT want his people to put themselves through this type of self inflicted injury/discomfort. He knows how the world breaks us down enough, these poor kids SHOULD NOT have to go through any self inflicted misery like this! He is probably broken that people really feel like they have to do this stuff to be loved by Him. HE LOVES US UNCONDTIONALLY and there are a zillion other ways to get close to him. I can't believe this is legal. How awful.

Esoal a great experience it builds your faith and stretches you so much Esoal was a great experience for me regardless of what you say about the HA I was there for a year and the experience is great you get to know the Lord more . Sure theres a cost ,but if the Lord really wants you to be there at the HA he will provide the lord will never leave or forsake u. :) If you do not attend the HA it doesn't make you less of a Christian God just has different plans for u .

Wake up people. THIS isn't human.
"Christians are not allowed to feel. They have to pay $8000 to send their kids here so they can hitch hike by random stangers back to camp or else they are not Christian and have to go home!" I hope for any parents sake they look into this and how it has been all over the news and kids that have been sent here have blogged about their horrible ptsd experiece. This is sad and I feel bad for these kids!

@lindee2007 Thanks for taking the time to reply. The first word in this event was EMOTIONAL. True enough, ESOAL may have dealt with managing one's emotions, but it wasn't about not having them. Also... no one hitch hikes at any Honor Academy event... and we hope they don't hitch hike ever. The stories that have been mentioned about that concerned an event that was called Cross Walk. It hasn't been done for 12-13 years at the HA.

@lindee2007 To continue, Cross Walk is not adequately described or characterized here. Finally... the success or failure at performing a task or series of tasks is not something the HA uses to judge whether someone is a Christian or not. Neither is anyone sent home for succeeding or failing at performing any organized or assigned task.
