The only problem I have with the song is the Les Paul. Throw that thing out the window and grab a strat, tele, or Jazzmaster.

As a software I use Logic Pro 8.
To record the Violin, I used a Tlm 103 Mic from Neumann going through a Liquid Channel Preamp and then going through my Apogee Ensemble Soundcard.
