EXACTLY! That is what I tortured my son with....PT! If you can stay with the Platoon during PT, EVERYTHING else is gravy, particularly if you are going into an Army trade.

Trust me, learning what ranks mean is the least of your worries. Work on PT, I don't care how in shape you are, you aren't good enough yet.
You will be taught all the practical info like rank structure in your first few weeks.

Oh I remember those days But Back when the PO2 was still a MS and we still wore OD. Best 10 Weeks of my life, Sure some was a real bag drive and Damn sure I wanted to pull the pin But PO Robinson told me one thing back then... "It Gets better"... More than a dozen years later I can still say he's right about that... Cheers PO.

@TwinCityProduc yes and no.
You earn your weekends, and time off. you will be working monday to friday 0500 - 22:00 at least with down time built in.

@TwinCityProduc First 5 weeks you don't have weekends off. After, only if your platoon deserves it
