Some time ago I wa listening to "Scotland the Brave" played on a bagpipe and my wife, who is Japanese (I am Italian) said:
"I don't know why, but every time I hear this song, I get tears in my eyes".
And I realized without being surprised that apparently I am not the only one to feel its power and that of the Scottish bagpipes.

I love this song, I have been looking everywhere for a copy with these lyrics and was ecstatic when I found this video, not to mention the guy is great, fantastic song,
it is also great to see that it hasn't been ruined with negative comments about how anyone who wasn't born in scotland has no right to call themselves a scot, I was born and raised in scotland and if you ask me no matter where you where born be proud of any heritage you have!

@skipissatan the reason for that may be that scotland never used to be 1 country it was filled with at least 100 hundred clans including highlanders, and lowlanders, so it may be that each 1 is for a different clan

When the pipes strike that chord in a person, it is just there, fuzeamon. When the blood hears the call, one cannot explain it, one just follows...I don't know, it cannot be explained in words. You have it or you don't.

Very good! Most people are shocked when they learn bagpipes originated in the middle east. Look it up on google!

Someone stole his bagpipes @ the last minute b4 he was due to go on so he stole the guitar from the church band!

Erm...speaking as an Englishman...she's the Queen of England and of Scotland. England doesn't have a national anthem....Scotland has several.
